Communities at risk of wildfire often lack centralized, actionable information during critical emergencies. Current wildfire information systems provide information from several sources, which can be overwhelming and confusing when every moment counts. We created EmberGuard, a mobile app that combines real-time wildfire risk assessment, disaster preparedness materials, and temporary housing support into a single, user-friendly interface. With this, EmberGuard allows users to make informed decisions and respond quickly to wildfire threats by providing location-specific alerts, preferred shelter options, and customized emergency preparation. By using our app, it can help reduce evacuation times and improve community safety.
