Sparking Tribal Student Interest in Natural Conservation Pathways: A Career Matching Platform

The practice of natural resource management has had great cultural significance for the Indigenous tribes of the Pacific Northwest for thousands of years. However, in the last few decades, fewer Indigenous youth have been pursuing careers in the field of nature conservation. Understanding this problem, we created an online platform for students to take a survey where they can match with and explore prospective careers based on their interests. We are driven by the mission of helping Indigenous people in the PNW contribute to the sustainability of their communities, build fulfilling careers, and preserve their values and traditions.
