This project introduces SubUW, a mobile subletting platform designed to simplify and secure the process of renting and finding short-term housing within university communities. Targeted initially at University of Washington students, SubUW allows users to create verified listings, browse available sublets by location and price, and communicate through an integrated in-app messaging system. SubUW addresses common challenges in peer-to-peer housing exchanges such as fraud, trust, and inefficient communication. The platform is built using React Native with Expo for cross-platform deployment, and utilizes Firebase for backend services, including authentication and data storage.
