Nonprofits in the U-District often have trouble finding volunteers, and people who want to help don’t always know where to look. To solve this, we created Service Stars—a website that makes it easier for volunteers and organizations to find each other. It helps local events get more visibility and lets volunteers quickly see what’s happening nearby. We launched the site at the U-District Street Fair, where it was well-received. Service Stars meets our sponsor’s main goals and makes it simpler for people to get involved and stay connected with causes they care about in their community.
